Hey guys, the other day myself and Mingo (my plant expert) headed out into the woods to gathering and preparing stinging nettles (Urtica dioica) and cook it up. She goes over identification, handling, and other uses of the plant (medicine and cordage).

I know for some of you this going over something y'all already know but I thought I would share it just the same.

Good video. Thanks for sharing. Always appreciate the time and effort it takes to put together a solid video like that.

Yeah she really knows her stuff.

I really enjoy how she does such a good job of laying out the information in an easy to understand and remember format.

I sometimes find it kind of difficult to just learn from looking at a book.

That was pretty cool. Very good info.

I love stinging nettle with just a little butter and sprinkle of salt.

Great info, adding a bit of mustard garlic to that potato/nettle soup would be great!

I'm glad you all enjoyed the video! There will be more coming up... I've got one about general gathering principles and advice for learning about plants in the works right now.

thanks for the vid

stinging nettle is one of those plants you get to recognize in a hurry after getting "bit" by it a time or two! :)
