Gathering News Blackout???

I've seen a post from Psyop on Saturday, but what's going on at the Gathering? What the problem -- no Internet yet in TN???

PICTURES OR IT ISN'T HAPPENING!!!
 
Generally won't get any pics or anything until later today and tomorrow. No internet on the side of a hill out in the boonies and if I remember right there isn't very good cell service either. Besides, who wants to be on the internet when they're having fun!!!

Oh...there are pics to come :) Just haven't gone through mine yet.

Yeah, I think the internet was one of the last things on anyone's mind, the gathering was a blast for me and I only got to stay for two days.
 
Sorry guys we are just getting back and online. We had bad weather and noone had any service on becker mountain. We all had a great time and there are going to be a lot of pictures once everyone downloads. I dropped Captain Airyca and Ark at the airport and others were hitting the road throughout the morning.

For K-9 Handler, the one who "won" the privilidge to wear the sparkly scales was of all people, Col. Defender! His reply was about how they grip real nice.... Maybe the magic sparkles help with the grip!

One interesting thing is that I bought some travel bugs (geocaching tags-check out geocaching.com) and Averageiowaguy and I went treking in the woods near Uncle E's to a cache so we can start them on their journey. There is one beckerhead patch going with Captain Airyca (west heading east), one with Bladite (east heading west) and for Doc, he took a BK&T KA-BAR patch with a tag that is heading with him to South America and then he will send it off to explore the world.

Captain Airyca said she is going to set up a photo download site so we can all share what we took and link to the site if it is approved for release... I am not sure what we all agreed can be spoken again and what has to stay on Becker Mountain. I know you all understand.... Pics to follow soon.

Hawk590 y'all look where Doc was sitting cuz he lost his car keys... probably on the floorboards or under the seat on the right side there abouts... worst case they are at the cache :D fortunately, he has a spare... so us snail...
 
If this Gathering was anything like this spring's Gathering, I'm sure there will be plenty of stories that will have to stay on Becker Mountain!:D

Did he say he lost them before we left the shop? He never rode in my truck. If he lost them when we were walking to the cache, I can get my metal detector this week and come back and look for them near the cache. If you have time, go to the cache and see if they are near the fallen tree. That is where he pulled the travel bug out of his pocket. He was on the side toward the road. Let me know and I will plan on heading out that way in a day or two.
 
Well...I got my photos narrowed down to the 200 or so I'm keeping. Now to just figure out which ones I'm going to post and get them uploaded.

I'm working on it. Just uploaded about 150 photos so it will take four or five posts to get them all in a thread so it will be later on tonight before I can post them. I hate it that you guys couldn't make it!

Well, I was actually questioning if the real one that showed up in the past dared to make himself known this year.

But it's nice to know the Copperhead -4 made it there, too. I gifted it to Ethan, but never heard if it arrived.
 
It did he hung it on the wall in his shop then told us how he had found a copperhead in that very wall. Said it was perfect. As for the pissed off wounded copperhead he didn't dare show up.
