1. What knives did you carry?
At first, a FPR BK16, then after the boss gave me a FFG and Moose let me mess with his 16, I carried one of those. I have been converted.
2. Was it weird calling people by their real names or did you converse via BladeForums names?
I didn't remember a lot of their actual names, and sadly most didn't answer to their BF names. Yet...
3. How much snark was there? I mean was it over the top?
There was a good amount of snark.
4. What one thing from the gathering will you always remember?
One thing? Good lord, I couldn't recount all of them if we had a month full of Sundays. What I think will always stick out to me though is right before I left, I went to shake the Boss's hand, and he pulled me in for a hug. That was pretty damn cool of him. Watching my brother in the top shot competition was pretty sweet as well. Especially when he won.
5. What from the gathering do you wish you remembered?
Thankfully I didn't get that inebriated, so I remember everything I was around for.
All in all, it was a great time. Had we had Sam and the Trades, it would have been complete, but as it was, it was a damn fine time. Todd has a sense of humor very much akin to Trade, and delivered some lines that had me in stitches. Turns out he can also craft a heck of a knife. He had a couple of tweener sized blades that I would certainly not mind owning. That orange and black number was quite nice. The top one here:
The top shot competition was cool as heck though. My favorite part was at the end. They had to vote off either my brother Jack or Tankerwolf. Tankerwolf had brought his own 10/22, so several people figured that was the way to go. Turns out they had missed me mentioning that Jack was a sniper a few times. They get the guns, get down to shoot, and while I was watching you see Jack fire once, then after a few seconds another time, nothing happening, then after a brief moment, three shots in rapid succession that obliterated the suckers they were aiming for. It was cool as heck. The prize he got was pretty damn sweet too.
