The NYC show is usually very slim pickings for the forged fixed blade crowd.

But sometimes a gold nugget just pops out of the river bed.

Brett Gatlin Personal Carry,
4.75" blade 9.25" overall with a sweet desert ironwood burl handle and Rowe sheath.

Very nice. I've been eyeing that on Les Robertson's gallery for some time now.

Oddly enough, I also find it attractive. And I'm usually interested only in the classic, large Bowies.

Must be something about the lines of the knife -- or maybe that outstanding ironwood handle.

Maybe my taste in knives is actually evolving...

I REALLY, REALLY like that knife!! Congrats!!! It looks like a fantastic knife!! And that sheath looks very nice too.

I handled that knife a few weeks ago. It really feels good in your hand. The ironwood has very nice grain and color.

Excellent package!
I think Peter can smell quality forged blades. :D

Thanks for the comments! Like most makers, the handle of my knives are constantly evolving and this is a recent progression. Thanks Peter!

Brett

Damn, that looks good, looks like the handle would feel just right for a knife that size..
