So I was in the leather shop today and I found 2 awesome cognac colored gator legs just the rite size for a small sebenza pocket sheath, so to work I went.

Unfortunately I didn't get to finish it up today. While burnishing the edges I got my finger caught in the belt in the machine and decided to call it quits till tomorrow.

Tomorrow it'll get edge coated and a light coat of oil to darken it just a little. Fingers should be safe for all that :D

Nice sheath! Take care of those fingers, they do good work. I owned & operated a cabinet shop for many years, and still have 8 fingers & 2 thumbs I'm quite proud of.

Gotta love alligator done right....cooked (i grew up in Louisiana) or tanned. ;)

Really nice job!! We think of handing a sebenza down to our kids and grand kids, the quality of a sheath like these would last for ever.
