Just thought I would take a moment to give ya'll a update on the Gator show in Lakeland...I'm sitting right across from Jack Foresman and his honeybunch who have a nice table loaded with all the BCCI loot,shirts,hats,clocks,4 or 5 different newsletters, dealer catalogs and knives.Jack also brought a verrrrry nice display of Alphas.Frank Meek is there with 4 tables of ALL kinds of Bucks for sale..Gene Merritt has a truly wonderful display of David Yellowhorse Bucks..Dave came with a table of his BEST 110's that are drawing a lot of attention and of course I have my modest display of rare/odd/prototype 112's..Several other BCCI members are here plus a few members have stopped by to chat and fellowship.A cooool time is being had by all!I cant leak any details here but I can say the youth program of the BCCI is going to get a real boost thanks to one of our Life members who dropped in both Friday and today..Great News!!! The show was verry well attended both days so far,but I did hear sales were down from last year..And high end customs will and are selling but at steep discounts [I overheard 60%] I thought that might be the case....I got to look and handle some HIGH END Randels[sic?] I was surprised at how much and many knives were sold and traded between dealers on Friday....Lots of money changed hands. There were not as many kids as last year,by a large margin,I wonder why ??? Maybe the kids will be there on Sunday. We all have had a great show so far,It's well worth the 270 miles round trip Dave and I are driving each day,I just hate motels when I know I can be home each night! If you are in Florida and want to score some real deals on true high end customs...Hours are 10.00 to 5.00 on tomorrow but get here by 3:00 at the latest as many will pack up early..The Buck Flag is flying high in Lakeland!

One of the greatest things about being in the BCCI and displaying my 112's is all the nice people I get to meet and fellowship with at shows like this..

Hi sway,

Good to hear that you made it to the show! Hope you are healing well and feeling much better. Thank you for the show update. Got any photo's to share with your buck brothers? Some of us have never been to a knife show.

You're in S. Cal. aren't you? Why not try to go to the show in Pasadena this year? It's not big like some of the others, but I really had a good time there last year and plan on going for all three days this year.

sadly it was my job to take picts for us
but the mem card could not be found this morning
sorry guys
it was a good show and clint and i and our other brother were all together sat!
some days life is jest good..
clint got a treat but i wont spoil it for his news

I know Jack took a few pics and I 'think' Frank got a few too....I got a e;mail from Jack saying there is a pic on the BCCI web site of me so go there and take a look.To tell ya the truth up until this minute I never even thought about pic's!!! But, next year!!! Now the treat Dave is talking about is 4,yep four,a total of 4,new display cases from Gene Merritt! If you have seen Gene's display you know what I got....Really Classy! What Gene did was update and use a different method of attaching the top piece to make his new one's easier to set up and put the Yellowhorse knives in...He also has a base [on each side] on his new ones to make it more stable..The ones he gave me are apox15 " wide and 26 " high, real nice! I will add a few features, change a few details to make them more like I envision..But what a gift!!! Thank you again Gene! I will see what I can do to get a few pic's on this thread but as I don't know how maybe Dave will be able too if I get them to him.. Displaying your Bucks at a show really adds to your enjoyment AND knolage of of our hobby, IT'S FUN!!!!! You will not regret it..I learn so much just sitting and talking..
