Just thought I would take a moment to give ya'll a update on the Gator show in Lakeland...I'm sitting right across from Jack Foresman and his honeybunch who have a nice table loaded with all the BCCI loot,shirts,hats,clocks,4 or 5 different newsletters, dealer catalogs and knives.Jack also brought a verrrrry nice display of Alphas.Frank Meek is there with 4 tables of ALL kinds of Bucks for sale..Gene Merritt has a truly wonderful display of David Yellowhorse Bucks..Dave came with a table of his BEST 110's that are drawing a lot of attention and of course I have my modest display of rare/odd/prototype 112's..Several other BCCI members are here plus a few members have stopped by to chat and fellowship.A cooool time is being had by all!I cant leak any details here but I can say the youth program of the BCCI is going to get a real boost thanks to one of our Life members who dropped in both Friday and today..Great News!!! The show was verry well attended both days so far,but I did hear sales were down from last year..And high end customs will and are selling but at steep discounts [I overheard 60%] I thought that might be the case....I got to look and handle some HIGH END Randels[sic?] I was surprised at how much and many knives were sold and traded between dealers on Friday....Lots of money changed hands. There were not as many kids as last year,by a large margin,I wonder why ??? Maybe the kids will be there on Sunday. We all have had a great show so far,It's well worth the 270 miles round trip Dave and I are driving each day,I just hate motels when I know I can be home each night! If you are in Florida and want to score some real deals on true high end customs...Hours are 10.00 to 5.00 on tomorrow but get here by 3:00 at the latest as many will pack up early..The Buck Flag is flying high in Lakeland!
