Earlier this year I bought a maxpedition micro pocket organizer and overall I like it well enough, the quality is good and the price is right.

There are a few problems though.
The biggest issue is it's size, you get used to it in your pocket but more than that you end up carrying extra stuff just to minimize wasted space.
I'm not talking about maxing it out either, just using up the space the organizer already takes up.

The second issue is that it's designed to hold larger items and doesn't hold smaller ones very well.
I like everything else about it, I just wish it was smaller.

Anyways I went looking online and found these on etsy today ( never shopped there before but they had 'em ) with mix and match color options available. I went with green for both color options.

The price was a bit high at $37 shipped with the California sales tax, but hopefully it proves to be just what I'm looking for.
If I'm not mistaken that's an 84mm Vic tinker there in this picture I borrowed from the internet, so it should be large enough to fit a Fisher bullet.
I just hope my little p01 notebook can fit.
The only thing I see that I don't like is the lack of a large pull loop on top like the maxpedition has.

Anyone actually tried a gatura product ?

I've looked and found no real reviews aside from one by a guy in France.

I do have a Maxpedition, but it is a little big for me also.

I never tried the Gatura before it looks like a nice sized pocket organizer.

In looking more into it I saw that they also have two pockets on the back as well.
They really seem to have done a good job at designing this to hold and organize smaller pocket items and to maximize the space.

I'll know once I receive it how well it really works out and if it lives up to how it seems on paper.

Maybe it's too soon, but its been almost a week at this point with no word on shipping or anything and I sure hope it's not going to take forever like a few things I ordered over a month ago that haven't shipped yet.

It was too soon, I just got the shipping conformation.

Apparently it's coming from the Ukraine which I wish I would have known, but I suppose I would have worried for nothing because it has supposedly shipped ( I suppose I can't truly say for sure until I get it ) so I don't think I got ripped off.
With only one review by a French guy , and the only pictures being from them one has to be a bit sceptical.
Theres also the fact that you see a $1 bill in the pictures but their site and etsy page lists the measurements in metric which is odd.

I was worried it might be coming directly from China, not sure if the Ukraine is better or worse but it's different that's for sure.

Definitely made in the Ukraine and definitely worth the wait! I purchased the smaller Gatura about 2 years ago after the purchase of the pictured Maxpedition Micro pocket organizer. I really like the size of the smallest Gatura as it is the best fit for actual jean/pant pocket use. The Maxpedition Micro and the two other Gatura's are great candidates for inclusion to my daily backpacks or cargo pants pockets and help keep a lot of gear organized. All three of the Gatura's use full-sized zippers compared to the smaller teeth/zipper of the Maxpedition pouches, and are all outfitted with giant skulls for zipper pulls! The Gatura's are extremely well made but then again, you are paying for that quality.

The smallest Gatura has a Lumintop AAA Tool Flashlight and chapstick in the back pockets and usually some cash in the front. For the tall skinny Gatura, that is a Spyderco PM2 in the front pocket (plenty of room for something bigger!) along with a full-size pen and pencil set for the back pockets. For the Medium Gatura with the carabiner, that has a Spyderco Chaparral and a Lumintop AA Tool flashlight in the back pockets and a Rite-in-the-Rain notepad in the front pocket. Both the medium and tall, skinny Gatura organizers have internal zippered storage with either a Swisstool or a Leatherman multitool along with small first aid kits, Ravpower power banks, misc cords, etc, they like the Maxpedition can hold a lot of EDC stuff.

Comparing just the Maxpediton Micro and the small Gatura on the insides.. The Micro being so much larger has a Lumintop AA Tool, a Ravpower power bank, cords, a space pen and note pad on the left side. The right side has a Swisstool Spirit, Spyderco PM3, microfiber cloth and Victorinox SwissCard Classic tucked in behind. The smaller Gatura has a Ferrum Forge CF Mini-Archbishop, space pen, and TRM bottle opener on the left side and a Victorinox Cadet, small pry bar, card tool and cash on the right side...

I hope this helps, if you have any questions, just ask!

Definitely a great helpful post.

I wasn't sure if my Fisher bullet or little p01 notebook would fit inside, but being the same length I can see that If the Fisher bullet will fit my notebook should as well.
It's only 3.75" x 2 75" .

Looks like a nice find. Personally, I've settled on the Maxpedition Volta AA battery holder for my pouch, but I use it on my belt, and it has no internal pockets. I've been using it for about a year now.

It got here today and I'm impressed with the quality.
I took the skull bead off to reduce bulk, but overall I like it so far.

I will be carrying it " backwards " so I can easily draw my knife or pen from my pocket without taking the whole organizer out.
That is very important to me in a pocket organizer.

Yeah...I think I'm gonna have to check these out, thanks for posting about them:thumbsup::) What's your base color? Looks like it might match my Maxpedition Foilage green.

I think they call it a smoky green.
It's a bit off from the OD green maxpedition uses, but close enough.
The maxpedition is a bit more vibrant.

These look great. That little one is very tempting. I've sold off all of my Maxpedition pouches. I just found them to be too bulky. I also don't like or trust elastic loops. Thanks for sharing.

I really don’t need another pouch, but that is very tempting as an everyday wallet.
