Hey fellas,
Just trying to get an idea of who might be interested in a fall hammer-in in Connecticut. I am still working out the details, but I have a place and a date I would like to do it. I'm looking at Nov. 27th the saturday after Thanksgiving.
My plan is to combine this and make it bladesmithing and blacksmithing...with demos, an open forge area, tailgate sales, lunch...etc.

Just give a shout out if ya think you can make it so I can get an idea of numbers.
Thanks all.
Mace

Sounds like fun! Sadly, I won't be able to make the commute to another New England hammer-in at this time. Hope you pull it off and post lots of photos!

I would like to be there Mace but my daughter is getting married on that Friday and I'm thinking: Reception.....Heavy drinking....Bong, 'bong "Bong on anvils the next morning might not work well for my head.

If she elopes before then, count me in.

Normally I'd be all over it but the Thanksgiving holiday kinda puts a kink in it.

What's the venue? One of your fancy Connecticut country clubs out in Darien or Greenwich?

Hey Derrik,
Don't be such a wuss! So there might be a little traffic....

The venue would be the new renovated forge shop at the Guilford Art Center!

If I wasn't planning on being out of town, I'd not only attend, I'd come early and help you clean your shop!

MACE VITALE! MACE VITALE! MACE VITALE!

Mace, I'll be there and I'll probably talk Kook into going. Are their any gas forges or all coal?

mace,
I will make it. I was the guy that you saw at Ashokan who lives in Cheshire (6'2" blond hair, wanted to talk about how to make a katana or a dao).

OK guys....
This hammer-in is on!:D
Just a few more things to figure out and I will start another thread posting
all the details.
