This thread is solely up to Andy approval.

I want to make a limited run on a semi regular basis of my sheaths - up to about 50 sheaths. I have talked to Wildmanh about this - and we think that offering a variety of sheaths is a good thing. (And he is all laid up - what is he going to do about it? ;) )

My Proposal:

I want to offer sheaths for the Arete (this will also fit the Terrasaur and the Recluse) the Hiking Buddy (the Bushboot may fit) and the Bushcrafter. These will be made in Russet (A light brown) and Dark Brown - and will have an option of a removable dangler.

Prices:

Single Stitch pouch sheath: 85 dollars shipped and paypalled.
Double Stitch: Add 5 dollars.
Removable Dangler: Add 10 dollars.
Removable Dangler with Firesteel loop: Add 15 dollars.

What I need from you:

Are you interested? If so, what model sheath would you want (Arete, Hiking Buddy, or Bushcrafter)? What color? What options (Single stitch, Double Stitch, Dangler)?

Thanks,

TF

I'm potentially interested.

With the dangler option...can we get the dangler with the firesteel loop? Am I remembering that you did that on a sheath not too long ago?

Yes, you remember right. When I was talking to him about the Hiking Buddy sheath I put in an order for last year some time, he talked me into that option because the larger fire steels aren't aesthetically pleasing on the smaller sheaths.

You didn't mention a price, but if they are priced similarly to before, and the down payment I made on one last year before you got too busy to mess with them still counts, I may be interested in one that will fit a tapered Recluse.

What kind of timeframe are you looking at for this, Tal? are you going to collect orders for a while? Work as you go? Is there a "closed" date for this? when you aren't going to accept new requests?

I'd definitely be down for a double-stitched Bushcrafter sheath in dark brown! (Already have one for my Arete, and it's a fantastic sheath)

TF, Been wondering when you would post. Glad to see that you finally did it. Variety sure is good! Good pics and nice looking sheaths!

To set the record straight, I'm no longer laid up and I'm back in the shop working. :p Thanks for the laugh! :)

Hi Tal,

I have purchased sheaths from you in the past and am well pleased with them! So it should be no surprise to you that I am definitely in for two sheaths fitting the Arete model. The options for both sheaths are the same. The only question I have is can I get both sheaths with brass hardware vice nickel/silver you have shown in your photos? If I can, brass for both sheaths please. If I cannot, I'll go with the nickel/silver hardware you offer. Either way though, my order is in! :)

Hence, I would like to order two (2) Arete sheaths each matching:

Arete Sheath - Dark Brown- Double Stitch - With Removable Dangler - (Brass Hardware if Possible).

I am looking forward to your reply. Thank you kindly.

Sincerely,
Mark

I have hoped to have one of your sheaths for some time now. I'm very excited to see you getting back to it. Your skill is obvious.

Thanks for opening this up to the Fiddleback crew. :)

Tal,

I'd be interested in an Arete, Double Stitch with a Dangler in Dark Brown.

Okay - it is obvious that I need to make a run.

I will put together a run of Arete sheaths as soon as I can get five done I will put them up here.

MAW - I PM'd you.

TF

Those are very nice sheaths! Good job sir.

If you need to borrow a Hunter and a Kephart for scale, I could help out with that. I think the Kephart might fit already though.

PM me if I can be of service.

Duder.

I'll take:

Hiking buddy sheath. Right side. Dark Stain. Dangler with firesteel loop. Single stitch.
