Howdy folks-

I received a real winner in the mail today! It's a blade Brendan have been discussing on and off for a few weeks, a Mora 2000 with a beefy handle! I do love my M2K, but the handle has always been a teensy bit on the thin side for me. This new one rectifies that and then some! It's very well rounded and rotund, but not too much so. It also has a more distinct swell that's located closer to the edge, to really push your hand into a secure position for optimal control. There is a slight taper in the profile towards the butt, which also aids in security.

The material is natural canvas micarta, which came out great. Very warm, soft feeling in the hand. I've tried it in numerous grips and was very satisfied. And as usually the M2K blade makes for awesome slicing ability! Almost silly. This one, like most that I've handled, has a couple of small chips in the edge. Obviously not to do with Brendan, they must not care for this too much at the factory.

The sheath is a piece of work in and of itself of course. Brendan does a unique blend of new and old, but it never abandons an 'authentic' feel to it. Instead of a long the rear, a firesteel holder sits high and to the right on the sheath. There is a very ample belt loop that's been securely riveted in. The blade fit is extremely solid, I would be very comfortable carrying it upside down even! Very handsome, very functional.

I'm probably going to try to do a small video review later! I hope the pics help for now though. Thanks!

That handle shape looks like it wants you to hold it... looks like a working carver.

I might have to have one...

I always thought the following was a corny post but - YOU SUCK!

:D

I need to post the two sheaths that Brendan made for my two EnZos. He makes an tough and beautiful sheath.

Thanks guys! This is such a sweet slicer. It's also my first stick tang into a solid piece of micarta, feels so indestructable but nimble. Fills my hand perfectly.

where do I get one, and how much? both the modified knife and the sheath?

Contact Barberfobic here on bf! Great young maker, very easy to work with for something that will suit you personally. I don't want to nail him to a price so I won't say what i paid. It was extremely reasonably however!

That's a good looking Mora 2000 for sure. I love to see customized, personalized commercial knives. Personally, I never had a problem with the ugly green handle other than its looks. I find the standard handle better than many.

Very nice Spooky, it looks great.
I see Ragmar now has those blades, may have to git me one:thumbup:

Is that a section of stacked leather at the front? I like the way that looks. Nice job!
