My nephew and family came for a visit on their vacation. He just recieved his PhD in computer electronics. His dad isn't much of an outdoorsman though he did grow up in WY doing some hunting and fishing. Well my nephew likes fishing and wants to get into hunting so I gave him my fathers rifle. It has been in the family since 1964 (sporterized 1917 Enfield). Well I thought he could use some more support so I gave him a new Bucklite Max small and then the big surprise. I have been carrying an original Cheyenne Hawk (predecessor to the Lakota Hawk) for 40 years. It brought a huge smile to his face. I gotta say that smile made me feel good. Neither of my 2 sons take care of a damn thing. I know he will appreciate it. Only hope he is successful and uses it in good health.

That’s what it’s all about. Making memories. It truly is priceless. The memories we share with family will live on long after we’re gone.

I’ve seen that same smile many times and you can’t put a price on that. :D

I have no kids, and can't have them. My nephews are my life. 7, 6, and 3. I'm leaving all my knives and guns to them. I'm hoping to live long enough to see at least the oldest graduate high school. I'm only 41, but I'm not sure how much this broken, beat, and scarred body will take.

My cousin, who is 32, I just gave him a knife for his birthday last weekend. I'd given him a Kershaw Leek and scallion 7 or 8 years ago. Torsion bar is dying in the Leek.

He was so impressed by the Hogue Deka wharncliffe I gave he may become a collector/accumulator like me.

In that your nephew is into electronics, down the road if he gets into knives suggest a Matt Bailey Geek edition knife to him. Custom and really cool. I'm an electronics guy myself.

Here's mine
