Well maybe not Mr.Emerson DIRECTLY, but you all get the gyst
My second Emerson and first CQC-7. I still like the original, but prefer the look of a V-Grind, and it looks especially nice on the 7. I have larger hands (XL glove) and although it's smaller than my Commander, the overall thickness of it is greater. Sure fills the hand nicely. Some grittiness right out of the box, but a shot of Hornady One Shot fixed that. If it breaks in anything like my Commander, it'll be like butter with tan scales. Centering is fairly good, slightly favouring the non-locking side, and the G10 is actually much grippier than my Commander was out of box. As with most Emersons, it's stinkin' sharp, and the grinds are nice and even. Local dealer showed it out of stock online, with only the serrated model in stock, and I almost picked that one up just so I could get this model, but held off. Decided to drive out to the store just to pick up a couple things and see what I could see. Lo and behold! Last one in stock
Needless to say it made it's way home with me. I'm definitely a big fan of Emerson, my Commander has proven to be a quality tool that I have no problem at all using, and I use the hell out of it, so I will certainly not be holding back with this pretty little thing.

The Lock Up (for those who wanna see that sortta thing) We'll see how it settles in.

Slightly off angle when I took the picture, but I think it shows enough.
Loving it. I think I foresee a regular CQC-7 in the future.
