Had a beach bonfire and finally got to see what it could do. Chopped, pryed, batoned, an even sliced a few different types a driftwood and brush. The only damage sustained being a few dents on the edge from where I accidentally hit a rock once or twice. I thought the edge had chipped, but it was only dented. I plan to sharpen everything out this weekend. The finish is scuffed up a bit, and missing in a few spots, but I wouldn't call that damage. Overall the knife impressed me. It is very well balanced for medium to heavy cutting and the handle was surprisingly secure. Just thought I'd let MikeBiz know that his knife went to a caring home where it will recieve the routine beatings it requires. :D

cool pics, where are the shots of it destroying driftwood.... we will be down that way (Capitola) in a couple of weeks, looking forward to taking some of mine out on the beach to beat on....:thumbup:
 
I didn't have my camera on my at the time, but there will be plenty more opportunities.
 
Looks like you gave it a pretty good workout, thanks for sharing the pics. However, I was hoping for some action shots to ;)

I'd be happy to see some of those next time you do some chopping ;)
