Haven't been fishing for a few days and she was getting hungry. Got some mackerel for her to chew on today. I think she's still hungry though so I'm going out tomorrow to get her some bigger ones. :). I'll post tomorrow if I can live up to my word.

Ok, I promised a bigger one today. I think this barely qualifies. :). My "salt" doesn't mind. It eats whatever I put in front of it. Seriously, I LOVE this knife!

Nice!
I always enjoy your pictures.

Thanks man. Hey, I've got a question. How do you keep your knives from smelling bad in your line of work? One disadvantage of h1 is I don't clean and dry my salt knives as meticulously as normal and they are starting to get a little gamey smelling. :). Any sushi chef remedy for fishy smelling knives?

Nice as always. I really love the pacific salt. I currently carry one that has been reground by Brad Southard to a wharnie style and mostly use my salt 1 as utility.

how do you like the serrated edge for cleaning fish, versus a similar plain edge?

For cutting mackerel up like that, cutting heads off and gutting it works like a dream. If I'm doing any kind of filet work I use an actual filet knife. I've filleted some fish with the salt too, just for fun. It works, but it's not the right tool for the job. I would still love to see them make another run of the catcherman!
