Gave my son an altoids PSK

My son was going on a wilderness camping trip with a friend and his family so I gave him one of my Altoids tin PSK's but I forgot to tell him that it was just for emergencies. Well, he got to his spot and opened the Altoids. He whittled a stick with the Gerber LHT. He went to the lake, got a stick and caught a bunch of small fish with the hhoks, sinkers line and a piece of bread he brought. He was so proud of himself as was I. I love that little booger, he's 12.

I had to use my Altoids tin survival kit at the last knife show I did. Turns out that putting some pain relievers in there wasn't wasted space (I had a head ache).

That is cool. I remember the first altoids kit I got, it was from my dad. That was a great experience, something I will never forgot.

That's awesome, I bet he had a blast.
Sometimes, we just need to let the kids show us how to do things.
