I am looking at a mako on the secondary market. How can you determine blade steel. I know maker likes aebl, s90v, and s100v.

If he didn’t mark the steel on the blade or include paperwork, it would be tough without contacting the maker. If he only used a certain type of steel on a particular style of knife that would help you narrow things down.

What's the blade finish. Much more likely to be AEB-L if it's full polished (since polishing S90 and S100 would be much more work).
