It's about time I did a give away. Excuse the bad photos, but it's a genuine Okapi 907, made in South Africa. I purchased it new a week ago. As an International Man of Mystery once said, "it's just not my bag, baby." It's been used gently in the kitchen and it's already starting to patina. The handle is outgassing something awful strong, so I would recommend not using it for food.

RULES: If you would like to give it a new home, post "I'm in," along with a) a photo of your pet and your traditional knife, or b) a story of how a friend, partner, or spouse used and appreciated your tradtional knife. You must have been a member since October 2013.

This GAW will close on this Friday; hopefully that is enough time. That way I can put it in the post on Saturday. There is a hint of side-to-side play. If you want me to peen the pin for you, I can do before I send it out. Peace.

Thanks a lot for running the giveaway Dogstar, great-looking knife and an interesting pattern. I've been lucky enough to win a couple of giveaways recently, and with that kind of luck I think it would be unfair to other members for me to enter! ;) I just wish I was as lucky away from the forum! :D

Not an entry, but thanks again and good luck to everyone

Very interesting looking knife there I like it! I'm in & thank you for the chance. Here is a picture of our crazy cat Martin & a cool stockman I picked up a couple weeks ago. It says B. Svoboda Solingen Cutlery Germany on the main blade. I don't know much about it yet but I really like it!

Excellellent !..here is a dog that was not my pet but an exceptional hunting dog..Second run and shes lying on 5 pigs...She was dead 2 hunts later (kicked in head by a samba stag)....Sad day it was...Her father is my dog and hes a Chesapeake in NZ...Fine dogs and a great giveaway...
Not an entry .................FES

And heres my dog...................

I'm in and thanks for the chance. Unfortunately, this is not a real bear:

But my pets are all dead.

I don't have any pictures with a knife and pet together, but on Sunday before going back too school I visited a friend and she used my Culberson necker to open a pez dispenser and filler, so she appreciated it I think. I'm in, thanks for the chance!

Thank you dogstar - a generous offer you are offering out, this is not an entry - but just wanted to say thank you very much, and best luck to everyone!

Thanks for the chance - dogstar.

I´m in.... Mr. Igor with a great pocket knife.

Usually he´s sitting there like a stone without moving, but when a camera comes around the corner he´s faster than a bee :p :D

Not an entry but thank you very much for your contribution!

Sweetpea would just not cooperate

I'm in!

(The reason there's a sock in that picture is because that's the only way to lure him out other than food )

Cool GAW, dogstar. I think everyone should at least try an Okapi. :)

Not an entry, please... Mine's in my back pocket as I type this. :D

I'm in! For quite a while these have interested me an I'd love a chance to check one out in hand.

Bartholemew likes the yella' rose ;)

Thank You for doing this very cool GAW!

Okay, everyone. No more entries. Thanks to everyone who posted photos and share stories... I really appreciated them. I will be making a random drawing and contacting the winner.

Congratulations to Scrteened Porch, winner of the Okapi knife! I hope you have fun with it.

It looks like a lot of you have well-loved pets. My wife and I have 3 kitties, who brighten our lives for sure.
