Edit: I always like to thrown in a choose your own adventure in the middle of GAW's! So since the Spyderco Byrd Cara Cara is my garden knife, I had picked up a Mora All Around Utility fixed not too long ago to see how I would like that in the garden. I've ground down some of the shoulder on the Mora and I think it slices much better. Winner get to choose either or! (Photo of the mora below!) Both knives are in great user condition though. Winner can just let me know which one they want.
Ive had some good fortune come my way. My wife in her usual crazy manner, pulled off another do one interview get an offer on the spot. Shes pulled this off more times than I can count and its a big help to the family and our overall goals. I just wanted to thank the universe in a small way for being so vast, yet accommodating at the same time.
As you can see from the photos the GAW is for a combo edge Cara Cara 2 from the very best knife manufacturer on earth. True to how I got into knives, every summer I choose a budget knife platform to try out and put through its motions usually up against another top knife that is much more expensive. In almost every case that Ive done this i.e. Opinel, Delica, mini-Presidio, the budget knife was a MONSTER value and outcut or cut just as good any other knife that I had.
The Cara Cara 2 was no different with its combo edge it was a superior cutter with fibrous materials. It beat out my Domino clad in a much better grind and blade steel. It beat it flat out in the garden where I use my knives to trim branches, cut back brush or any instance where I didnt happen to have my garden hand saw available.
Giveaway is open to anyone. No rules. Ill ship the knife anywhere around the world even if it costs me $25 to ship the $22 knife. Good luck and keep things fun folks! (Nalon on the forum gifted that little Vantage to me btw, I PIF to another BF member who in turn PIF to his neighbor!)
