I keep looking, and most vendors keep saying expected release April 2012. Starting to sound like the airlines when a flight gets delayed. ;)

Any new updates?

Maybe it's delayed because they decided to put a clip a on it. I can hope right? ;)
That said, they have released a slew of models in the past few weeks.

Now that I have my CF M390 Mili on the way, the Air is the only spyderco I am interested in at the moment. And I sure hope they don't put a clip on it. I think clipless is going to be the way to go with this one. At 1.5 ish ounces, I think it will ride like a nice slip joint in the bottom of my pocket or next to my wallet and be a great little gentlemans folder.

The only knives I like to carry in my pocket (without a clip) are 3" closed length or less. The Buck Knight is my favorite in this class.
The Bradley Air has an open back design. What will stop a key or pocket change from finding its way into the back of the knife and contacting the blade edge?

I never use clips. I figure that a pocket knife should fit in the pocket, or it stays in the drawer.
I have no problem with keys, because I don't put keys in the same pocket as a knife. I stopped doing that after a car key managed to work the blade open - on a liner lock by Gerber.

My knives stay in my pocket these days due to clips.:)
Back in the old days (the dark times) before clips, knives fell out of my pockets. And they got lost.
Now they don't.
Hooray for clips!

Putting your change in another pocketwould fix that. Gentleman's knives don't need pocket clips. I do look forward to this knife..

Hey, you can't please everyone all the time. I'm sure Spyderco knows the knife consumer better than I do. I would have guessed that offfering this knife with no clip resulted in more lost customers than with a clip (and the clip holes).

Perhaps it will have a removable clip, I don't know. As much as I love the original GB and M4, I'm pretty sure I will love this one as well. I generally wear jeans or carhartts, so I have coins in the coin pocket, and I clip my keys to a belt loop with a small carabiner - classy, I know. :D YMMV.

Since this is a gentleman's knife, for me, that means a freshly washed pair of jeans. That's pretty much standard wear for Colorado... As long as my wife is ok with it, it's all good.

Sweet! I'll have to pick one up.

Kind of off topic. For those griping about the open end, have you considered getting something like carabiner or pocket dangler to keep your keys from sitting at the bottom of your pocket? I got recently got a Pickpocket and I don't know how I managed to carry my keys at the bottom of my pocket without going crazy.

Every week, I get an email from the site I ordered one from regarding status of my order. I get anxious everytime I open it, but maybe someday soon it will say 'shipped' instead of 'processing' !

Sal,

I imagine everytime while you are typing this statement you have a grin from ear to ear. I know I for one really appreciate the time you give to keep us in the loop. Thank you!

Couldn't agree more.

It's not just the knives that made me a fan of Spyderco.
