Hellow, recently I buy one Air Spy. I have one doubt. My knife haven't detent ball. It's normal or it must have it? Thanks a lot in advance
 
It probably has one, but this knife is notorious for having a really weak detent. That is the reason i sold mine
 
Thanks, but there is the hollow for the ball, but not the ball. I think it's defective, for the price payed and the bad retain. Tomorrow I will try to speak with the seller and change it.
 
There should be one. Probably it somehow fell off. Yes, I think you should get an exchange when possible since I'm not sure how spyderco will take care of this one.
 
I was concerned with the Air opening in my pocket before I bought one but found the detent perfectly adequate. I've handled a few of them and they all had good blade retention. Good luck exchanging it, shouldn't be a problem.
