Gayle Bradley disassembly

So I was going to disassemble my Gayle Bradley to fully clean and lube the pivot area, but can't even get the friggin scales off. Now after giving up and putting all the screws back in, the blade is off center. Any advice on getting this one apart and the blade centering?

This seemed to work. Thanks.

I was thinking about forcing a patina on the blade but don't know how I'm ever going to get this blade out.

I had a similar sounding issue with my ZT 770. The pins (not screws) in the handles were so damn tight that I could actually not keep screws in the knife and have no risk of it coming apart. What I did was get a pair of plastic handled scissors and use the handle on the gap in the handle to slowly pry it apart. I damn near had to hammer it back together. Sometimes the tolerances are wonky, not sure if the knife being that tight is good or bad.

If you really want to patina the blade you should find some hard plastic and slowly pry the knife apart. I would suggest knowing what you are doing before you try, though. I lost one knife because the damned thing just plainly would not go back together (not even a hammer helped).

I thought the lanyard tube was peened in and unable to he removed. I tried pretty hard to get it off on my knives with that design and it wasn't budging. I guess it jot being able to he removed would make aftermarket scales a little hard to do, though...

The link is also not good. The OP of it edited everything out.
