Gayle Bradley pivot screws

Hi, ther are screws on both sides. what effect do they have on the pivot? Do they effect the blade centering?I just got one and had to tighten one side to eliminate a clicking from a loose area around pivot hole and the tightening had no impact on the pivot. Any help and answers would be welcomed. Thanks, Russ

shouldn't effect centering, unless the blade is heat treat wharped...tighten both sides if you more blade retention.

It could be that the other screw, not the one you tightened, was turning as you were tightening. You will probably need to use a second torx driver on the back side screw as you tighten the front screw. It could throw the centering of the blade off towards one side, so tighten each side the same amount.:thumbup:
