When ordering a GB how would you k.own if its skeletonized? Is denoted in the sku?

The older models with the earlier date codes are fully lined, all other batches were drilled.

Like Rev said, the solid liner model was the early one. I don't know how many runs were done with solid liners, but I doubt that any dealers still have this model on their shelves. It wasn't long before the liners got drilled. You can always ask a seller to open the box and check the liners to make sure they're skeletonized if it's important to you. I think the total weight saving was maybe 3/10ths of an ounce? From 5.5 ounces down to 5.2 ounces, IIRC? I've had both versions and I can't tell any weight difference between them.

There was no change to the SKU, AFAIK. The drilling was just considered CQI and not a new variant.

The easiest way to tell is there'll be no logo on the backside of the knife.

That was an even more limited run, the very first 200 or so went out like that. Maybe less. The 2 I have are the ones with the full liners.

I think Sal actually estimated that at 100 or less, but that's going on memory and you know how that goes...

If you happen to come across a collectors club numbered piece it will have solid liners. Are you particularly looking for one with solid liners or are you trying to avoid that?

The weight difference is noticeable to me. I have both and prefer and the newer version.
