Blade Length: 4.25"
Cutting Edge: 4"
Blade Steel: PSF27 Tool Steel
Thickness: 0.15"
Overall Length: 9.5"
Definitely the longest folder in my collection. It feels luxuriously spacious for my XL hands.
I like that it is completely silver..no accents in black or other colors. Kind of a rare feature on folders these days.
It flips smooth and quick, with an authoritative click on lockup.
Lockup is very tight at ~35%.
Mr. Bradley designed this model with features you need and none you dont.
Jimping for instance.. you won't find any on the thumb ramp (I don't think it's necessary and I like a smooth feel there). In fact the only jimping here is on the pocket clip (which aids in getting purchase while closing the knife), and on the inside of the lockbar. This is an area that is often overlooked and can typically benefit from some texturing. It really helps on this knife when you are disengaging the lock.
The scales themselves are finished with a light orange peel texture that looks as good as it feels.
I've always been a fan of D2 so the PSF27 tool steel was a big plus for me. Essentially spray formed D2, it has all the normal characteristics of D2 but with added carbide homogenousness. I'm looking forward to refining the edge more to bring out a liquidy mirror polish. Out of the box it was plenty sharp..slicing phone book paper with ease. The grind is even and symmetrical.
On to some pictures...
