Just a heads up, for those that haven't found it yet, there is a really good HD video on the tube of the new Gayle Bradley folder. Really shows off the knife. Prepare to drool. BE WARNED, the guys fingernails are horrific. One would think if you could afford the Bradley, you could afford some fingernail clippers. Anyway, just thought I would let you guys know it is out there.
Don't know how to link, just search Gayle Bradley Folder and you should see it. There is 2 by this guy, and one by spydieguy.
Merry Christmas

...who plays the steel-string guitar, when his fingernails aren't broken...

There's a second one posted after I'd had a day to get to know the knife better, also. They are better in HD and native size on YT than as an embed, but...

Thanks J Newell for those 2 very nice videos.
Bad thing about the video is it makes one want to buy one of these :).
How good is the closed detent on this?.
On the Military the blade stays closed very well.Hard for it to open up in ones' pocket.
Also how is the grip?.Is it easy for ones' fingers to slide onto the cutting edge when working in wet environment?.Does not have the finger guard like the Military.

Raj, you're welcome.

My thoughts on your two questions:

First, the lockup is very good. It is not as firm as the Military, but very few LLs or FLs are. I am pretty aware of this as an issue because I've dropped knives a couple of times and had them open, to which my reaction is:  :thumbdn: I actually find the Military a little hard to open. The Bradley is not as firm, but I would still rate it very secure.

Second, on your comment about the grip. I think it's very good, but having said that, it does not have the pronounced, deeply recessed and jimped choil that the Military has. That's something I was a tiny bit surprised at, given its design, but it seems above average in that regard - but not as good as the Military.

So, bottom line, if I were using a knife with gloves or similar limitations I might still choose a Military. But the Bradley is still an absolutely stunning knife with extraordinary fit and finish made from premium materials. The last Military we saw that was in this league was the S90V sprint, and those will set you back anywhere from $200-$300, depending on timing, condition and vendor. At the street price, the Bradley is hard to beat, maybe impossible.:thumbup::thumbup:

Haven't watched the second video yet, but was surprised that the first one didn't really mention the blade or blade steel, which I thought was a fairly strange omission on this particular model.

That said, it's a nice commentary and now that mine is in hand, I agree with your observations.

J Newell, thank you very much for your reply to my questions.
The "Military is my everyday using knife and am hard pressed to find a knife as good an" allaround" knife as it".
The previous one that I had that was very close to the Military is the now discontinued Spyderco Wegner.
But even that did not have as good a closed detent as the Military does.Nor was it as great a cutting knife as the Military, though a bit stouter and maybe able to take a bit more of prying, or lateral torsion on the blade.
I may have to pick up a Gayle Bradley to see how good it is in the hand, and how it fares at hard use.
And your video does make one want to buy it.Appreciate your reply and appreciate your videos.
Hope to see more of your videos in the future:thumbup:.
