gayle bradley vs. ZT 0350

Gotta say ZT 0350 for 2 reasons. 1) The thumbstuds act as the stop pins. 2) The liner lock is much thicker than the Bradley.

Now comparing blade steel...that's a hard one. Both are premium steels.

Some think the lack of a finger guard and the proud liners make the Bradley less suitable for hard use. On the other hand the steel is pretty much the best for hard use. The liner is very thick even with the cutout. I don't know about the ZT's liner - does it have a cutout?

You mean a finger relief for aiding in lock disengagement? Yes, the ZT 0350 does have that. I hate those darn reliefs.

The CF handle on the Bradley would be the deal breaker for me. It looks great but it's not as durable as G10.

I considered that too. IMO they should have another slightly cheaper version that has g10 slabs. EDIT: Of course everyone will go crazy at that point demanding smurf blue, EMT orange, and foliage green g10.

Have both, love both.
In general use, both will do what they are designed for exceptionally well.

As to which is tougher....really a coin toss....but I'd have to give a slight edge to the ZT....and it's really a slight edge....I'd worry less about abusing the ZT because its not nearly as purdy as the the Brandley.:D

I love my 350... great knife for the money... I would choose based on where i was going to use it... I carry my manix 2 more than the 350 because the 350 looks far more "tactical" - especially with the AO flipper... so the classier looking bradley might make a better choice if you are going to use it around people.. I also prefer the G10 on the 0350 over the CF... and the ZT I bought was a blem and was much cheaper than a bradley..

tougher in what way?

the bradley has a VERY deep hollow grind. the very hard M4 allows you to do this, such that you have a knife that cuts really well due to size at the edge and holding a very low angle but is still tough enough to use for real work. it's unbelievable that a knife with that cutting power can handle so much abuse.

even though Im a strider guy personally I actually prefer the stop pin to be in the handle, as far back as possible actually.

oh, I forgot to say which is tougher. if we're testing anything but edge strength then tie, if you want to smash stuff with the edge, probably the 350.

I just checked liners thickness on both knifes
Bradley 1.80 mm
ZT 1.90 mm
only 0.10 mm difference

but Zt has wider handle and wider blade so it may look "tougher"
Bradley has carbon fiber handle , and CF stronger then G10 , also M4 blade

so its hard to tell which is stronger .
I like Bradley more .

Pick the one you think looks nicer if all you can go on is looks. If you can try each, pick the one that fits better in hand.

I just hope I won't end up buying both. :(

I think you should! :D

The knife site that works has the ZT0350KW, Satin Bead Blast S30V non-coated blade, which I personally prefer. Shipping is free with the ZT so why not grab the Bradley at the same time? I doubt you will be unhappy.

If you decide you don't want both either would be pretty decent trade material.

I think both are plenty tough but the 350 would be more applicable to hard use. Wider handle, nicely textured G10, excellent Ken Onion ergos, plus the flipper works as a finger guard in the open position.
