Just picked up a new 5.5 and luv it.Just a few observations though and was wondering why the blade has the designs it has.The handle has an exposed tang and is not flush with the handle scales,does this serve some purpose or is it purely a design decision?Also the scallops being on the left side of the blade instead of the right is there any reason for this?Also does anyone know if the handle under the slabs are cut or drilled out to reduce weight or if it is full steel?Awesome knife and I would love to know more about the reason and how it came to be designed in the way in which it was!
