I just saw a few pics of the GB, namely Knifebomber's, in the various japanese knife publications and realized that his looks slightly different (cooler) than mine. The reason? The spine on his blade is a straight line from the thumb serrations to the tip of the blade. The spine on my GB curves like that on the AR.

The knife kick's serious ass, but it seems the straight spine creates a more aggressive profile on the tanto. Anybody else have GB's with a curved spine? Do the new flat ground GBs have curved spines?

funny you should ask, i JUST got a flat ground GB, like 5 minutes ago from the fedex guy, its got a curved spine too, its freakin awesome:D :D

On Strider's website (www.striderknives.com) they have the older and I agree, cooler angled spine on the EB-T's and the GB. There was a post earlier about why they changed it, but I dont know why they would change it on the folder. I guess they can make both the GB and AR from the same blanks. Doesnt compromise anything though.

The straight spine are the older models. Although I know of a few that were recently 'custom' made and delivered to a collector.

Meestah Mick,

Happy New Year
