GB Hatchet handle crack above eye where wedge goes in

Hello everyone, long-time blade forum lurker and finally joined because I have a question. Yesterday I received my Gransfors Bruk Wildlife Hatchet and there are two small cracks in the handle above the eye where the metal wedge is driven in. The crack also shows a little bit on the left side but does not extend down to the head. These cracks are very small but I'm wondering if this is to be expected when using the metal wedge in addition to the wooden one. An exhaustive picture search on the internet has provided some with cracks and some without. Thanks in advance for any input.

Perfectly fine, I have a forest axe in my hands right now that has the same thing, and I've used it for years. Go ahead and post a pic if you can though so we can check that it's what we think.
