I have been asked several times to show some differences between the GB Mini and Wildlife, and have shown a few junky pics. I made a small video today that I hope better illustrates their differences and similarities, and provides an aid to those considering either. Enjoy!

Great video. I just did a similar type of video, and I can honestly say you are much better at it then I am.

The only thing that sucks is, now I have to go get a GB Wildlife:grumpy:

Haha, well getting the Wildlife is a priority! But your video was certainly no 'slouch', your too generous and too humble!

My mini is one of my favorite carving hatchets! Well balanced too...

For what chopping it can do, I agree, it more than meets the expectations!

G'day Spooky

Thanks for the comparison.

I now have a much better appreciation of the size of the Wildlife

BTW, how much do each weight?

Kind regards
Mick

I'd like a Wildlife Hatchet too. In my stable (below), I have a Wetterlings that fills the gap above the Mini.
However, after seeing that video, I realize how much smaller the Wildlife is compared to that Wetterlings. The Wildlife looks much more packable.

Southern Cross,

On the company postal scale my mini weighed 12.8 oz., including the sheath. I haven't weighed either my old or newer version Wildlifes but I believe Gransfors lists the head at around a pound.
