Hi guys, I have a question about the sheath.

Does it allow for 'high ride' by moving the back belt flap down further along the back of the sheath (did that sound confusing?)... ?

Any pics would be great.

I don't have a digital camera but after examining my Green Beret sheath I don't think any of the various straps will allow this option. Perhaps one of our Airborne brethern could verify my findings as well as give a more complete explanation as to its usage.

thanks Larry.

Here is a pic I found of a forumites which led me to ask the question; It looks as though the back of the belt flap can 'un-velcro' and be positioned at a lower position? I may be thinking of the SOE sheaths as I know they have this feature.

I'll check with mine as soon as I get home. I messed with the sheath a little bit when I got the knife but haven't really seen all the possibilities of it. I do know I would like to have a kydex rig for it.

I am getting Brian @ Okuden to make me a kydex rig for each size....if you want one, I will leave my knives with him until the order is filled...saves sending your knife to him...he may even have one of his own...

I don't think it was an intended option, but I've done it with both my eagle and blackhawk sheathes. I just fold the belt loop back and run a length of suspension line through it to tie it off. it works OK, but for a more secure rig it needs to be sewn or velcroed down.

Thanks Guy!

As it happens, I do own a GB.

Pic shows available materials and some options.

Dan,

There are several drop sheaths "deployed" with a variety of MILPERS and I've had no problems reported.

There is a testimonial from a marine machine gunner on my website that frankly makes me blush a bit: www.okuden.net

dylan_d, Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !

Nah, its okay man, the two best makers on the planet, Jerry & Chris.

My first 'real' knife was a Shadow IV (years ago). Still have her (or my brother does:grumpy: ) and she is beat up & scratchd but still going strong.

trouble is, I have been spending way too much lately on Busse & Reeve, dont worry about the Hogs, just don't tell the wife!!!
