Does anyone have experience with the Gransfors Bruks Splitting Hatchet? I'm looking for a way to easily split 6"-8" dia. logs after they've been cut to length for a Fourdog tent stove.
Thanks

that's cool, never seen it before.
But I'd MUCH rather have a full-size tool for that job.
There are a number of good axes that will do, including the GB offerings. Longer tools are generally safer. Unless you need a small tool for traveling, generally the largest axe you can comfortably swing for 30 minutes would be a better bet.

ETA: oh wait, you said 'tent stove', so that assumes camping. nevermind.

Have you looked into the Estwing fireside friend? It's about 100 bucks less!

M3mphis, thanks I'll have to check that out. I think Home Despot carries it, I need to see if the weight might be an issue. One funny thing about it, the first review on Cabelas says "pricey, but worth it." !
