I just picked-up a Wetterlings Hunters Axe and Campers Axe. The price seemed reasonable and I think they are cool little tools. In searching around eBay, I find that the Gransfors Bruks axes are almost twice as expensive as the Wetterlings models.
Has anyone here ever made a side-by-side comparison of the two brands? Is there sufficient difference to justify double the price? Both are hand-forged, made in Sweden and have hickory handles. The Wetterlings axes came pretty darn sharp and had leather belt sheaths...very nice all around. Just wondering...
