For owners who have both or were in the same scenario of choosing one or the other newer spyderco...non sprint etc. Which one would/did you pick and why? I will eventually get a GB most likely, but the reviews were really great for both... probably even more so for the GB. I went with the BV and just got it yesterday and I really like the knife a lot. Not sure it is going to replace my Para2's for edc, for a few reasons... but I am just trying to get some feedback from those who have both the GB and the BV. I know they are different steels CPM M4 vs S30V and even the price tag is different. I have a lot of blades in S30 and love it, but I don't know too much about CPM M4 truth be told. All that being said... which one do you like/prefer and why? Thx in advance for any feedback.

CPM m4, is better in every way then s30v, with the exception of corrosion resistance...
Both have solid liner locks, but I like the idea of the non cutout for the GB...you can
grip the knife in every way without accidental lock release.

I have both. I like both. Very different. But, to me in terms of style and "wow" factor, the Vallotton wins. For practicality and function, the GB wins.

The corrosion resistance of CPM-M4 is pretty good, despite being a non-stainless high alloy steel. I found it hard to put a patina on--even when I used concentrated lemon juice, which is much more acidic than vinegar, and left it in overnight. Good knife cleaning habits should make corrosion a non-issue; if you aren't used to non-stainless steels just be aware that it will discolor and patina.

Personally I prefer the blade shape on the Gayle Bradley for utility. Aesthetically I also prefer the Gayle Bradley--not every will agree. I found the Valloton a little more ergonomic than the Gayle Bradley, but someone with slightly larger or slightly smaller hands than my medium sized hands would probably find the Gayle Bradley more comfortable. I will ding the Gayle Bradley on the raised liners.

I just got my Gayle B and I love it ! One of the smoothest knives I have ever handled and the cutting preformance is next to none of my other knives. I just have a soft spot in my heart for deap hollow grinds . One thing I'm not fond of is the CF it just doesn't do it for me but there are plenty of pimpers to help with that issue . ....

I would say the GB is a hard use folder in a tuxedo. I think the Valotton is more of a model in stilletos. It looks great but not very practical for me.
