I receive a GDOT in the mail today, the 8OT stockman model. Other than being a bit moldy, the knife and packaging is intact and very good condition. One exception, the clear plastic cover is cracked and broken. Anyone know where to find a replacement? Anyone have an extra cover they'd like to sell?
And any ideas on the mold? Im going to put the paperwork and case outside for fresh air and direct sunlight (don't want to fade the materials though), and lightly wash the knife with dish soap. Anything else, particularly for the case or paperwork?
By the way, this is a very nice knife from Schrade. No blade play, nice wooden display box, and a relatively low serial number (#957). The warranty card was filled out, Dec. 20, 1974.
