Gear Beads What do you think?

First if this is in the wrong area please feel free to move it.

About a yea ago i had some blanks cut and to use as much of the stock as possible i had some little gears cut out.
I drilled and heat coloured these and i textured a few.
The bigger ones are 3/4" outer diameter
the smaller ones are 5/8" outer diameter.

Anyway what do you think?

I think that they look fabulous.
But, being sharp and made of metal as opposed to plastic or ceramic I would be concerned about
them possibly scratching the bolsters / handles/ etc. of the knives to which they are attached.
 
Brain that is a possibility actually it might be good to give back to the forum in some small way.
I do also plan to possibly get a membership and maybe sell a couple of them if anyones buying.
Pete i'v been using one of them on my edc for a while now and it hasnt been a problem but i understand your point, i also happen to be a fan of the used industrialish look so scratches dont bother me.

There also may be a very limited amount of Titanium ones coming in the future.
 
I'd probably rock one a those on my work keys. Whaddya think? would you like one a your gears attached to a set of state mental hospital keys?!

Same here. Though if the scratch is put on the knife from someone else it weirds me out. I guess I'm just weird. :D My girlfriend is into the steam punk look. She'd like these. I do.
