Gear repair

A major item that is neglected in most of these PSK gear lists is a decent sewing kit. A running cross stitch, nylon thread or 550 chord guts and a good selection of needles is completely necessary for repairing clothes or a tent, hammock, pack, just about anything. Not to mention it takes up no volume and adds no weight. Personally I buy North Face because of their RAT-like warranty-you trash it, we replace it, no questions asked. My Tephra 22 has seen alot of action in the last 3 months and if it is ruined to the point where I cannot repair it myself, I will walk it downtown to the North Face shop and they will replace it on the spot-and I'll walk home with a new tent.
