A Buck Onesie! Had to have it for Chuck/Charlie/Charles a new Grandchild and a new item from Buck. Found some other cool, so cool it is right out of the fridge, stuff.

OK, all but the knife are new. And, there is only one of those left for sale.

I am glad to see you have an owner's manual for the "newborn baby".
Charlie is going to like his grandpa. :)

Thank you Stumps. You are too kind. I see Charlie, named after my beloved Father, about twice a week as a caregiver/sitter. We have big fun together. My mission, which I have accepted, is to fatten him up, make him laugh and wear him out. I work at it and it has worked.

Here is a real photo from his 1st Birthday last December 10th:

He is about to walk on his own. Doesn't crawl, scutters across the floor so he has one hand free to pack stuff as he moves. You can walk with him holding only one hand as he grins from ear to ear. He thinks he can walk down steps! Crazy brave... Uh, huh. Oh, boy. A toy I gave him that he can operate with the simple push of one button for on and then again for off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46OOsi_CCMw

LOL. That's a good one. You get a warranty for lifetime or 100 years which ever comes first. Says so in the manual. He's gonna need factory service sooner rather than later if he keeps trying to step down the stairs rather than crawling. He just steps right off into air! Fellas learn to walk they want to run, learn to swim they want to dive, learn to drive they want to do a 180 in the snow. Its just the way it is. And man-o-man is he hot to walk on his own.

Dang! Our two boys came without manuals. No warranties, either. Fortunately, they both turned out well (3 grandchildren so far) and we never had to return them to the manufacturer, although there were moments.:D

You guys have me laughing today. Thank you. It has been a while. Now Ed of course you are a fine influence but oh my goodness does your neck of the woods have some fine elbow room to roam which can be a positive influence on men, like the Three Sisters:

And pointy Mt Assiniboine:

That is a nice jacket. I have a Propper BA jacket that is similar and I love it.

Now, you said ... and wear him out. Lol, do it while you can as that will soon change.

I've been wearing a Bargain Cave zippered Cabela's cotton sweat and, when necessary, a worn rain fly for years. That jacket pushes me into a whole new tax bracket! I'll need a CPA...

That was mostly bluster about who wears who out as you might have guessed. When he sleeps I sleep as we both need naps!

Beautiful pictures!

Thank you.

Cate

My pleasure. Thank you for the kind words.

Some of the best advise I ever got as a young fellow was to acquire a place to picture in my mind where I could mentally go when I wanted to simmer down. That place for me turned out to be Eight Lakes Basin up in the Cascade Mountains on the Northern approach to Mt. Jefferson. A great hike, swimming holes for the crazy brave cold water warriors and pure high mountain air. I haven't been there for over 30 years but the brilliant memory is tucked away like a parachute ready to deploy in an instant. The Canadian Rockies in Alberta Ed's back yard remind me of that intellectual double clutch shuffle and the Neal Young song that hits on this stuff as well.
