On the GEC Website under "New Patterns to Ponder" they list a #06 Pemberton. Anybody have any ideas on this?

Maybe a Doctors knife, or a Coke bottle design? John Pemberton was a pharmacist & the inventor of Coca-Cola.
That's my best guess?

Pete.....

That's using your head......and here I was banging mine against the wall trying to figure it out................

I also thought about a coke bottle when I read the #06 Pemberton on GEC's upcoming schedule. We'll see.
One thing that I like, and I was thinking about it recently, is the way GEC is naming their new patterns. They're not using the "standard" pattern name (Canoe, Barlow, and so on) yet they're choosing evocative names and that's nice. :)

Just to feed the speculation...I hope they're going big on this pattern. I appreciate the fact that they're making more pocketable knives but GEC has gone with a lot of 3.5" jacks recently. It'd be nice to see the big old coke bottle in 5" closed. But maybe GEC won't make a knife over 4.5".

I for another would like to see a coke bottle offering. That would be something to see!

Maybe GEC won't make a knife even 3" long this time(!).

Could be "cute". Funny, I've been looking at Case small coke bottles @ 3". 2 3/4 may be on the small side for me. Got me curious though :)

Really? 2 3/4"?
For the longest time GEC made so many knives over 4". Lately the majority is 3.5" or less.
I wish they would land right smack dab in the middle with 3 3/4" and quit with the extremes of whats
pcoketable and usable.

I won't have to watch my 6, I won't have one. Pity it's itty bitty. Still not too late to let it grow up.

Frikkin' right on the money!!
As much as I love the looks of GEC's recent stuff, I find that all of my smaller knives sit on the shelf.
I blame my great big meat hook hands.
Fortunately there is still a good deal of big stuff out there on the market to keep my itch scratched.
But it's only a matter of time before I start asking myself what's are they thinking.
