Hi guys.

Does anyone have an in hand picture of the GEC Model #10 fixed blade?

I have several of the GEC folders. But I keep going hmmmmm at the fixed

blade. Thanks++++

Good question. I have always wondered about their fixed blades.
They look real nice, but seem a bit smallish.

The #10 is a smaller knife than the #50 and 60 by 3/4 inches. I have a #60 and it's a nice knife and a convenient size.

Thanks for the clarification. Looks like the #50 is the clip point, and #60, the drop point.
I didn't know there was more than one size GEC fixed blade. I really like that #50.

I have a stainless Great Eastern fixed with the squirrel/acorn etch on the blade. This is indeed a small knife (nothing wrong with that )about 18cm/7.25" overall.

I like GEC knives and when I first got this one I was enthusiastic,this has subsequently worn off somewhat. The knife has Horsecut walnut bone scales that are in usual GEC fashion, attractive but the handle is narrow and the bone thin.This makes it a difficult knife to use and I have smaller hands. The top of the guard gets in the way as well,so it's small but not very handy. There are other issues too: I think I've had the knife just over 2 years but the bone is starting to show gaps, it's sort of 'peeling' back from the tang and this is with very light use.

I think they have more work to do, sheath knives are not GEC's forte it seems to me, pocket knives are what they do best.

Thanks for the info on the #10, #50 and #60 folks. If anyone has a pic to post,
that would add to the explanation . . .and be greatly appreciated!!

Here are the sizes of the H10 & #60. They don't make the #60 much. I like the smaller H10. I think it could do everything that the #60 could do.
Both to these are 440C SS. Cocobolo on the H10 and Jigged bone on the #60.
