GEC #143223 Crown Lifter/Beer Cub/Barlow/Gentleman’s Jack

I would absolutely love one of these in stag, if that's what they end up going for with the northfield. Also would be partial to jigged bone. As a relative newbie, does anyone know where and when these will be available? Is there any way to know what dealers will receive what knives and when the drops will be? Like with northwoods, they send out emails so you can be ready and try to get one.

Yea, got to steer clear of purchasing discussion, basically subscribe to all the retails listed on GEC’s page then lose your life chasing them as the drop.

That's the first time they release a Northfield 14, right? Same as 15 are Tidioute only (and GEC once), and 77 are Northfield only.

this seems like a golden opportunity to use up all the little pieces of sambar stag they have swept up off the factory floor over the last few years……..
They already done that with 05 pattern. Jokes aside, it would be cool if they made 05 (or others?) using many different leftover handle materials, and released them as "random handle" or something. Or at least group as a category, like "random wood", "random acrylic" etc., as they did with "dyed camel bone" on 87s.

That would be cool. Grab bag 05s.

No the 18 run had Northfield SFOs and a couple non-SFO Northfield in jigged bone and stag.

I'm not a big fan of acrylic but not opposed to a few,I have the hummingbird which kept calling me.but a pure orange crush color or caramel candy apple red would get me wanting, but outside of that bone and stag and ebony .autunm leaf as someone mentioned would be a show stopper on most gec patterns. I am no fan of micarta, it just doesn't remind of the early traditional knife of yester years.but alot of people have a deep respect for it,so it will be represented.

Wow just realized the size of the 14,I've not had the pattern before,I tried a few times on the exchange, but i did get a nice 25 that is a solid little knife.it is actually that are case medium jack I carry in my house pj pants.you would be surprised how many times you need a knife during house time.but I would assume the 14 and 25 or almost identical in size and in some cases shape.there is a 14 in ebony with caps that is almost identical in size and shape to my 25,but mine has a Spear and the 14 ebony has a clip I think.but ya not big knives.

For 2018 I see only one 77, Yankee Jack SFO, which is marked Northfield on the tang.

There have been Northfield #14s and #15s, and also Tidioute #77s.
Alright, I found NF 14 and 15. I think I never ever seen anyone posting pictures of them, except for the 15 rope knife, that's why I was sure there were none in existence. But I couldn't find any Tiddy 77. Could you give me a direction, please?

Right now I have a 68 stag white owl that I take to my thursday night legion poker game,I put it on my cards right after looking at them, yes I'm a show off lol.but I'm thinking it might be to big and intimidating 31/2", so I'might have to get a stag or jigged bone 14 3" so as not to scare the fellow players even though that is the object of the game.Seriously though I'm going to start bringing a different knife other than the stag white owl,I got asked by more than a few to check it out.so a little bit of show and tell lol.

Although they’re the same closed length, the #14 and #25 are far from identical. The #14 is much slimmer.
