I Was never clip point fan,but lately(damn GEC)clip point blades became very appealing,
i have Pioneer (23) drop point which i like( i didn't saw clip point version,if there is one) but it is bit big for EDC

have also lockback trapper(72) "spatula" spear :) and Wharnclife and they are just about perfect size, and eventually i will get hold on one with clip point,

what i'm most interested is pics of Missouri Trader (42)compared to 23 and 72
i know some of you fine gentleman have all three of them, and i would be very grateful for posting them

Here is a pic of a #72 above a #42 for comparison.

I think the clip blade on the #72, with it's long pull and cut swedge in front of the pull, plus the more gradual belly of the blade, is the best one GEC have done to date. I am not a fan of having the nail nick inside the swedge-- it just doesn't look right or make sense to me. It takes metal away from the top line of the nick, right where you want more metal for a secure grip.

Here is one of the even larger #23 above a #73 (which is an 1/8" shorter frame than the #72).

The last run of 42's has the long matchstrike pull below the long swedge. That's the best nick arrangement, for me.

I hope I'm not too late to the party, but here's some pics (you'll have to pardon the crappy cell phone pic quality)...in all of the pictures, but the last one, the Missouri Trader and the the Cody Scout are lined up at the bolster...

Have all three and love them all; however the 42 Missouri Trader (mine is Northfield/African Blackwood) is the perfect size IMHO.
