Hey Guys,

I have been waiting for the #23 pattern for a while. So I am curious, do you like the single blade or double blade pattern best? Which feels best in your hands? What handle material for this run do you like best?

I use all my knives in the field, so does using the knife in the field change your opinion on your choice?

Thanks,

Geoff

On a knife as big as the #23, one blade is enough for me I think.
The two bladed monster must be a heavy bugger in the pocket.
But, i'm sure the two bladed model has its fans too, so only you can really decide.

I'd go one blade for sure... if it wasn't a liner lock.

I think the woodland micarta is gonna look and feel great. I hope they do stag also though.

GEC single blades are the most popular. So Double blades go out first , because it is a better sales strategy . The #23 single blades will sell out quickly like the #93s late year. I believe GEC is secretly holding back on large Sambar Stag scales for Bull-lock #23 Tappers. I believe GEC might do a Bull-lock #23 run, #23 frame Northwoods single blade knives , and maybe some Charlie C. #23 knives. I am wishing , hoping , and dreaming. I am buying big on this run. I love a knife I can hold between my knees/thighs and pop open with my thumb.

I have one of each and love both. I just really enjoy this size knife and it fits very well with the things I do with a blade. Sorry, I know this doesn't really help you decide. My advice would be buy both if you can. If you can't think about how wide a knife you like in your hand for things you do. If you use a knife for long periods of time, the wider handle is more comfortable.

I have six GEC#23LL knives on pre-order. I pre-paid for two different Club knives. I want that SFO Exotic India bone #23 two blade Trapper. And maybe a second one for EDC backup . That Brazilian Cherrywood #23 two blade has got some Krazy jigging. I'll have the bones ! I have been Krazy saving for this #23 run. Those Woodland micarta scales looked just like grooved Brazilian Cherry wood to me. I am sure they look much different together. I am still hoping the Northfield #23 Trapper brown jigged bone will be Chocolate Almond Peach-seed jigged bone. I have a light and dark #86 Oil Field Jack SFO Chocolate Almond bone knife. The best GEC knife of 2019.
