Title should say "Bronco"...

I'm looking for information more than a recommendation at this time: How does the size/weight/heft of these 4.5" knives compare to, say, a Schatt Mountain Man lockback? I know the handles are the same length, I'm just wondering if they're as thick and heavy as the MM. I've got one of the latter and was hoping for something slimmer and lighter.

My ideal would be a 4" single blade trapper, thin (side to side) but not "slimline" (top to bottom), much like the Back Pocket. (Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to join that particular club at this point.) GEC makes the #73 at 3.75" and the #23 at 4.5", but nothing in between. And that 4.5", 5oz. MM is just too much for pocket carry.

(Fixed that for ya, Sam.)

The #23 single blade is very similar to the mountain man, near direct competition. I would not pick one up expecting it to be any thinner / lighter.

Thanks, Mike. That's exactly what I was looking for.

Off to continue the search for the perfect 4" single blade Trapper that costs less than $100... (Recommendations welcome.)

The No.73 might merit a re-investigation on your part?

3.75"/9cms & slim, the Linerlock version is thicker at least the stag scaled one, bone ones of that are presumably slimmer. Good pocket carry yet has gravitas too.
