In honor of doing a complete 180 and selling off my custom tactical folders and joining this very nice & laid back community that is the "Traditional Folders

and fixed Blade" forum, I would like to offer up a GEC 25 with Kryptonite Acrylic and a patina :)

It has perfect w&t and halfstop. Not a nailbreaker either

I know the covers and color may not be everyones cup of tea, but I hope it can find a good home and be used. It comes with tube and wax paper as well.

I just want to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far and the "slippy" bug has caught me big time.

I look forward to many great times here.

The Guidelines:

I am always on the hunt for a high quality slipjoint...To enter the GAW, please name your favorite production traditional folder. One entry per person please.

This is open to everyone, anywhere. I will close the thread and pick a winner on 7-19-14 @ 2PM EST by Random.org

First spot burned!

Thanks for doing this. In totally caught in the traditionals, too. Most of my ogling is now here and very little elsewhere. Never woulda thunk it!

I miss the Fremont Jack I sold. The only one I have is bullnose that I love. I'd say it's a favorite, but I'm hunting for something classier and ok budget. Maybe a sawcut 15 barlow wharny? ;)

Maybe that's not everyone's cup of tea, but it sure looks like a good warm green tea to me!

It's difficult to say what my favorite slippy is. Depends on the day. I'm most excited to get my GEC made Bradford Cutlery Single Shot Trapper back from GEC, it'll be an awesome knife with a new lighter pull.

Love the green scales! I'm in. My favorite production skippy is either the single blade GEC #15 spear point or the #66 calf roper slim.

I'm in.
My favourite slippy would have to be a stockman or trapper pattern from case or Schrade with carbon blades. Like this one which is currently winging it's way to me.

I'm in. Love those little #25s.

My fav slippy is the #15EO Scout at the moment although the #25 is a close second.

My favorite and most used is a Case CV slimline trapper in yellow delrin. A 39 years of use favorite of mine.
I'm very partial to those shades of green on that GEC #25 or any model GEC.

I do not have a large collection of traditional knives but my favorite is my model 73. I also have a Queen Sodbuster pattern in micarta that is a close second. More than once I have come close to ordering up the GEC Sodbuster pattern.

Thank you for the give away contest.

My favorite is a GEC 92 smooth calico. Coincidently it was my first GEC too.

Thank you for your generous contribution to the BF community!

I am in, thanks! My current favorite production slipjoint is the queen canoe. I love the d2 and the pen blade is thin and the perfect size:)

I think my GEC elephant toenail is one of my favorites right now.

Steel bolsters, and liners. Strong pull, no half stops. Heavy main blade, very thin secondary. If mine was in Ebony, it would be perfect. The blade size looks off in this pic because of the angle. Their fur taker/cuban pattern is darned good looking to me, with perfect blade combos. The cuban/stockman/cattlebarron in steel and ebony would also be a grail. Also, obviously, their Charlow in ebony.

This Granddad barlow gets a lot of pocket time. Good stainless. Nice "fluff and polish", but not built as well as the GEC I have.

thanks for the GAW, one of my favourites is the old (<1980) Bertram knives (or Hen and Rooster), elegant slim designs:

Thanks for the chance! I´m in!

Man, I´d love to have a GEC in acrylic. The color is different, but pretty nice though :)

My current favorite is my grail knife I´ve been looking for so long - Queen DB Barlow

Great giveaway. My collection also changed from tacticals to traditionals. My favorite would have to be this Schrade 808.
