For the past week and a half I have grown really attached to my 25 sheepfoot Paul so kindly gifted to me last year.
However I don't see many of them in real use on the forums.
So collecting only for the most part or using as well?

Here's mine at this very moment (excuse the bad laptop pic as I have no camera or smart Phone at the moment)
Going to try and use it exclusively for at least this whole week.

Very nice little sheep foot tank

I too am rather partial, Arend.

- I know their utility too, and I knew when I sent it to you that you liked single bladed sheepsfoot knives.

The ebony all steel version of yours is my dedicated box cutter.

This beautiful stag covered barlow with clip main is also a user, it has quite a story in its own right but suffice to say it was gifted me by a friend too.

This was my first, I carry and use it more than any other 25 I own. It is special to me.

So in answer to your question; BOTH :)

Here's my first #25, a user through and through-- and again today:

If you haven't already, peruse the GEC 25s thread to see these Weird Little Stubby Things® in action (well, sort of), along with those in selections, collections, and as treasured One and Onlys.

No I wouldn't say so! Despite being small, they're quite broad so that can increase the handling appeal. You'll usually see amongst the 'mint' collections at least one or two users in there. I have four of them, 3 single blades and one Jack. Only the latter is virgin as it has an extreme pull and some really fine stag. So, three for using, one for looking:D

Interesting point. Today's carry is a natural stag #25. No pics. Gets carried 1 or 2 times per week plus it's my primary knife on travel weeks. But I do have 4 or 5 #25/#26's sitting around in their tubes. Mostly bought on impulse because they are so d@rn cute.

I also bought a few on impulse because of the cute/cool factor, but I do use/carry mine as a peanut replacement. I have about 4-5 in regular rotation, and 2-3 that need to be moved on to new owners due to my "no safe queen" policy. I even gave one away once in response to a desperate plea : )

I have both a 25 and a 26, and I bought them on a whim, and after I received them, I never really thought they would see much use.
Well, now they are the two knives I have that see the most pocket time. Every day, one or the other is my second knife, along with a bigger friend in a pocket slip. My 25 is just now getting into heavier use; I was smitten with my 26 for quite some time, and is beginning to show it. Anyway, here is my 25 a few days after I got it:

And here is my 26, a little further down the road in its usage:

I love the "just right" size of both the 25 and 26 knives.
Thanks,
Brian

I love the little 25's and especially the single sheepsfoot versions like the little jack. I bought the ebony version of the little jack initially because it was made or at least released on my sons 1st birthday but I ended up loving it and then shortly after bought the rust red version as well. I carry my rust red one quite often as you couldn't ask for a better watch pocket knife. Here is a picture of mine I took just this past Friday. I need to sharpen it as it has gotten pretty dull from box cutting duty and the picture was taken in the back store room of my office which means zero natural lighting so sorry about the bad picture. Has a nice finger print patina going on from pinching it open all the time too lol.

I use my 25 almost everyday. Its a stout little bugger and comes in handy for all kinds of things.

I love seeing these knives. I think they are so cool. I missed the orange crush one on the exchange yesterday. I think the sheepsfoot in ebony that Paul posted is a very classy little knife. I think the sheepsfoot blade definitely makes the knife.

I have one in rust red bone and I use it. It's one of my most carried slip joints.

I really hope GEC will make more #25. I'm all inn for more single blade versions of it, and I also want one or more with barlow bolsters.

I've got 4 of the EO 25s and I love them. I sadly do not carry mine as the 15 pattern has taken over my pocket a little bit.

But I am ALWAYS on the look out for more, especially the EOs as they are probably my favourite pattern.

That Sheepsfoot ebony one has now climbed to the top of my desperate to have list though!
