I have looked around but only see the 38 with a clip main blade. I know the 57 was released with a Warncliffe main blade, does anyone know if GEC or an SFO will be released with this option on the 38???
If I somehow missed this information, please accept my apology and point me in the correct direction please:)

Here's a #38 Hawkbill (top) released last month in gold smooth bone. Below is a Northwoods Willemite Whittler in Mammoth Ivory--released a couple of weeks ago. Both made be GEC.

That ivory is spectacular. Even though every patern gec puts out isn't my cup of tea, I love their materials and f&f

Sometimes I wonder what they were thinking when they chose the materials. The quality is good but a lot of the time the color/pattern choices just don't make any sense to me (e.g. confetti acrylic??). BUT they did a REALLY nice job with the handles on these 38 patterns. Soooooo many of them were just gorgeous. I've had a hard time restraining myself from ordering a bunch in different colors...

The Wharncliffe 38s were a SFO for KSF. The information is on the GEC website if you look under recent releases by year, it will show the knives. The product information also has the website/contact info for the SFO.

Edit: Actually, I can't find them on the website. What's up with that? I see the Orchard Gems but not the KSF.

Thanks for commenting, but I am looking specifically for the full split-spring whittler 38 pattern with 3 blades. For some reason, the half whittler just doesn't appeal to me in this case.
Edit to add:
I guess I am really hoping for a full size version of the northwoods whittler, one of my favorite new knives!

Oh, I see. I was actually replying to Jake right above regarding the Wharncliffe 38s that are an SFO from KSF.

Only a 6 year wait, finally here.

Obviously the blade can be used for bv anything, but does anyone feel it's less wharncliff-yy and more whittler? That's fine, just asking for a few opinions? I haven't tried one with this blade setup on a 38.

I had a 2017 38 in stag and it was fantastic. I had to sell to lay bills and now regret it. Was hoping for bv another clip blade.

Either way the covers should make for a nice knife.

A wharncliff is a very common carving knife. I don't believe it's less of one or the other but more of both.
