Does anyone have all patterns released or multiple 42's? (I'm really hunting down who all has the GAKC 42's but love the series!)

I don't have them all (not even close) but I have these.

The 42 is a beautiful pattern…bigger but just the “extra” version of the 72 or 83 :)

One of the few GEC models I’ve never owned or even held! Gotta check one out one day. Until then I have my Case Slimline Trapper.

The GEC series of heavy duty Trappers seem to have had multiple iterations over the last decade and a half. In fact they leave me confused. I own one under the Schrade Fire & Ice label, but have no idea which GEC model family it belongs. I’d love to see them all laid out and explained! OH

I've been looking for a 42 for a long time. It's been in my signature line for probably 4-5 years now. I've never had one hit.

The 72 was my first GEC and I really like it. Hoping to find it's big brother 42 version one day. Maybe GEC will make another run some day.

I'd be impressed if someone has the whole set, they seem to be hard to find.

A 42 and 43...
The 42s came in the Oregon Trapper and Trader...one was single blade lockback but was the 2 blade lockback?

Old Hunter Old Hunter , you should be able to measure the closed length on that one. #42’s will be 4.25” closed, #23’s are slightly bigger at 4.5” closed and have a squared end at the bolster (it appears yours does?).

meako meako , the two bladed #42 Trappers weren’t locking, just a slipjoint. The 42 is the Missouri pattern by the way, the 43 is the Oregon and has a slightly different handle shape (no finger protrusion in the middle).

Thanks Mate Jsega51 Jsega51 but wait...just to further my lack of American geographical knowledge- was it the old lady in The Outlaw Josey Wales who said
"Nothing good comes out of Missouri."?
she obviously never saw a GEC 42.;)
