Well I bought this knife off the forum with the intent to practice some knife tinkering. Never had done a blade delete before but this seemed like a good candidate.
Overall it went pretty smoothly. Definitely made some mistakes and learned some stuff! But that's what this was all about.
At the end of the day I think it turned out to be a pretty nice little knife and it was a fun project.

Now I need to find some more multi bladed knives to practice on. Hit me up if you got anything cheap that fits the description!
Mods:
- Blade delete w/ polished swedge
- Hand rubbed blade
- Threaded bolsters w/ satin finish

Very nicely done! I like the 44, which was the first GEC I acquired. I still have it, and it's still a favorite, in ebony.
The lined bolsters really set it off.... great job..

Thanks man! I still need to post this one to ig. Think I'm gonna polish the bolsters first. Not sure I'm feeling the satin

turned out very nice. I wont dare to try on GECs yet but maybe a Rough Ryder makes a good first time candidate

I would tend to agree. I think threads and a mirror polish just go together. You’ve given it the Northfield treatment - might as well give it that shine!

How did you line the bolsters? They look fantastic. That alone really makes the knife pop.

Excellent work! Thanks for sharing. I especially like those bolsters, but the whole piece came out very nicely.

That’s great work. I’ve been learning some detail work. But I’ve not learned about disassembling slip joints yet. That’s sweet man.

How much lighter did the knife get losing a blade, spring and liner?
