Does anyone know when GEC is running the bullnose pattern again. I am wanting one in linen micarta and all I can find is the orange delrin ones. Thanks.

I just saw a muslin micarta one on the bay for sale. I think they are still out there, you just need to use your google-fu....

They pop up on the exchange from time to time. You could make a post in the 'Want to Buy" area of the exchange as well.

Thanks hornetguy I will keep checking I did bid on one that was new but, was outbid and then i saw as used one which I don't mind but, look at the blade looks like they have grind it off till the bulls feet noway they used the knife that much think they don't know how to sharpen. hehe its all messed up looking i would probably pay like 30 for it but they wanting 70.

That is correct about not posting any prices from outside sources in the forum.... I think that jkwithawave has the best idea, mentioned above. There is a section in this forum for folks that are looking for a particular item, called "wanted to buy" or something like that. If you create a post there, specifying what you want, it is very likely that someone has a new or gently used one that they would be willing to sell or trade. This forum is one of the best sources for traditional knives on the web. There are other sources, but this one "reaches" more folks, IMHO.

The "thinking man's sodbuster"..... :D (and yes, I own a sodbuster, too :) )

I finally broke down and got an orange 71, and it really feels great. I haven't actually cut anything with it yet, it's just sitting on my side table beside my recliner, looking hopeful...
